Kulgam, February 24 (KNO): Two persons received bullet injuries during clashes that erupted near the gunfight site in Kulgam in which two militants and a DSP operations was killed. Several protesters were injured after massive clashes broke out in the area between protesters and government forces. Locals told KNO that protesters including women clashes with forces and resorted to stone pelting on forces conducting the operation."Forces responded with tear gas shelling to disperse the protesters," they said. In the forces response two boys received bullet injuries and were quickly evacuated."Both the injured are safe and their condition is stable," sources told KNO. Earlier two unidentified militants were killed in an encounter that broke out between forces and militants in Turigam village of South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Sunday. Official sources told KNO that two unidentified militants were killed in an encounter this afternoon. DSP operation was also killed in the gun-battle after he was hit by a bullet in head. He was declared brought dead by doctors.(KNO)
